Used some of the day to go through all the "important" stuff I've been saving "just in case I need it".
It's AMAZING what you keep or put away for "safe-keeping" and then forget about, giving you the "aha" moment when you realize that's where you put it! Life is funny that way.

As I get ready to enter a different phase in my life, I'm calling it the "not yet grown up" phase.
I've been "grown up" for the career years...now I'm ready to go back to a simpler time.
The one question that keeps being posed is, "What are you going to do when you retire?"
Well...first of all, don't you have to be "tired" before you can be "retired"? After all, the prefix
"re" means to do again.
My standard answer is, "Sit on my front porch and eat Bon-Bons!"
I know those who ask do so kindly, but the question is a nagging one to me.
I'm sure I have asked it of many others and now that it's MY time it certainly is something to
ponder!
In fact, I honestly don't know what I'm going to do. The possibilities are endless, though
financially limited unless I win the lottery. I certainly do have a "bucket list" to work on but don't intend to accomplish it immediately.
I honestly want to ease into this new phase as seamlessly as I have the other phases of life by quietly opening the door to the next life adventure, walking over the threshold, and seeing where it takes me.
Here's the question I'd like to pose to you:
What did you, or someone you know, do ON THE VERY FIRST DAY of your/his/her
retirement? It doesn't need to be something grand (though it could be)...it could be something
quite ordinary. I'm just curious. I know one thing I'm going to do! I'll let you in on it later.
MY first day of being "not yet grown up" is just around the corner.
